My Top 5 Buys of 2021
Like many people looking over their year and thinking of their most listened songs and albums, I like to think about what my best purchases of the year were. It’s always good to note and plan what your wardrobe needs but it’s also nice to appreciate those clever buys you made.
Here are 5 things I’m happy I bought this year!
1. Nike Air Force 1
Recently the clean white trainer has become both a key smart and casual piece. I tried on many white trainers from different brands until I settled into these classics. Comfortable and timeless, I’ll keep wearing them with midi dresses.
2. Fluffy leopard print jacket by ZARA
As soon as I saw this on Zara’s website it was love at first sight. I love leopard print, fluffy textures and cropped shapes. Tick tick tick. I bought it a little off season so I’m excited to wear it more, and for added warmth I think I can slip a leather jacket underneath. Layering is great.
3. Houndstooth cardigan by New Look
I get a lot of compliments when I wear this and I always feel like a boss lady in the 80’s. It’s warm and makes a great statement piece. Next year I hope to wear it out more.
4. Floral shirt dress by Next
As you know, I started my own business this year. While I tend to gravitate towards a grungy style for myself, I decided to smarten up my new work wardrobe in my own way. This dress has a print in my spring colours and a comfortable floaty shape. After being bitten by the shirt dress bug, I’ve invested in some really good ones since that you’ll probably see me in when we shop together!
5. Gingham bag from ASOS
You might have noticed from this website, that I love gingham! I’ve found quite a few good gingham pieces here and there, and this bag has been a very useful one. Look out for it when you see me for a Colour Consultancy.
