What are Colour Parties?
Hello! Today’s blog is all about what really goes on during Colour Parties. From my experience, these are fun experiences for the whole family. Not parties where the guests are asked to turn up wearing red!
It’s an event where everyone gets a chance to find out what exact shade of red (and other colours) look the best with their skin tone and personality. It also can be celebrating anything you like – doesn’t have to be your birthday!
Tell me more about Colour Analysis
Every skin tone has a palette of hues which suit them best. This is their ideal palette, made up of specific shades of colours. These palettes are categorised into ‘seasons’. For instance, the Autumn palette consists of hues which you see in the natural world at Autumn time like brown, orange and khaki.
Finding your colour season is such an eye-opening experience. You’ll never shop the same way again once you know which shades are the best for you. This is why I always suggest Colour Analysis as the first Personal Styling session to have with me. The foundation of style is knowing what colours make you shine!
How does it work as a party?
Before I get started, Colour Analysis is explained to everyone present so you know what to look out for. Each guest then gets 15-30 minutes in the hot seat being draped in front of my styling mirror. At the end, everyone comes away with a PDF of their own seasonal palette which is so helpful when shopping. It’s quite a game changer!
When you have friends, family and colleagues who know you around, the experience is always super collaborative with everyone getting involved. Isn’t it great having a party where your guests get to take away some valuable knowledge and have a good time bonding?
