How Do Wardrobe Edits Online Work

When booking a Personal Stylist, you’re probably imagining Personal Shopping and walking around town holding many bags full of clothing. This is something I offer but another service which is just as valuable is the Wardrobe Edit.

Even before getting into this line of work professionally, I was going through my friend’s and families wardrobes and helping them put together outfits for parties. As well as giving them the push to give away items that were no longer in the best condition.

Wardrobe Edits are the perfect way to revaluate and breathe new life into the pieces you already own. This can make it feel like you’ve got a fresh new wardrobe without having to step outside and purchase anything more. Saving you money, helping the environment and of course it’s a great way to work together without us both having to worry about travelling.

Having a Colour & Body consultancy before a Wardrobe Edit can be useful for the session as once we know what shades and shapes suit you best, we can evaluate if what you have in your wardrobe is working for you. And if not we can make a wishlist of items for you to look out for. If you are not in a reachable distance, we can just start our call with a quick chat on this and I’ll give as many tips as I can.

Before the session, I will have asked you to prepare some items for us to discuss. These are pieces that you have but don’t know how to style. Perhaps they looked good on the hanger but you got them home and didn’t know how to make outfits with them. We’ll have a chat about new ways to make them work for you or if perhaps it’s time to give them away and replace them with something better for you.

Don’t worry—it’s not a call where I just talk at you! It will be an open dialogue between us where you will have the opportunity to express how you feel and what you think, because ultimately it’s important that you feel good about it going forward. The main aim of the service is to open your eyes and inspire you with new ideas and fresh outfits using the clothes you already own.

And that’s the same whether it’s online or in-person.

I aim to always make a comfortable environment for my clients. If you’d prefer to turn the camera off for a moment while you pop something on or simply hold the clothing up as we discuss it, that’s completely up to you. And of course no pressure to give anything away that has sentimental value.
